A little trouble accessing, but once that got fixed everything else was good.

pretty new apartment, very comfortable bed, more spacious bathroom than usual, very quiet air-con
very loud on evenings due to the location in the middle of the party district, fridge makes a lot of noise, you have to talk to the porter whenever you want to enter the building which is annoying (especially if you are not fluent in Portuguese)

The location of Madalena and the location of this apartment was amazing and safe. There are lots of small restaurants and bistros. The apartment itself is nicely furnished but really small. Be aware that there is not much space to put BIG suitcases. We traveled around Brazil for 19 days and had two big suitcases. We had to put them on the veranda. The pool is cleaned on Mondays and we only found out about this when we were about to go there.
